How to transfer my iPhone's songs to my PC?

So, I have an iPhone 4 and I had iTunes in my computer to manage it. Unfortunately, I had to reset my PC because of a virus and I lost everything, including my iTunes. After I did that, I re-installed iTunes so I can keep managing my iPhone, but, now when I connect my iPhone to my computer and I open iTunes, I don't know why it won't let me make changes in my iPhone. Whenever I connect my iPhone to my PC, my iTunes detects my iPhone and I can play my iPhone's songs in iTunes but I can't either delete songs nor add songs and sync it. Also, I can't transfer my iPhone's songs to my computer to have a backup of them. It won't let me make any change to my iPhone's music. And I thought about resetting my iPhone as well, but the problem is that I don't have a backup of my music in my computer so I can put them back after resetting my iPhone. Can someone tell me how can I make my iTunes allow me to modify my iPhone or at least transfer my music to my PC? Thanks.
