If I buy an unlocked BlackBerry Storm will it work with Alltel?

Okay so I'm on the alltel network (boo) and I really like the new Black Berry Storm, one of my friends has one and it's awesome. I called Alltel and asked them since they merged companies if I buy the Black Berry unlocked from Ebay would they be able to activate it and it work? She said no but I've heard people say if it's UNLOCKED it will work, so if I do spend the $200.00 for an unlocked new Verizon Black Berry storm and call Alltel to activate it, will it work?

i think you can i know that alltel does not support sim cards so you should be fine
