How to use Internet in PC through Mobile?

  • I use "Nokia c2-01" mobile. I wanted to use internet in my computer(windows 7) using my mobile as modem. I connected it to Nokia PC suit. I connected it to net using "Connect to the Internet" option. I tried a lot to connect to net. Its dialing to "*99#" and said its connected but am unable to browse using Firefox and Internet Explorer... What should i do now.... Can any one tell me how can i use internet in my computer using a mobile...??? Thanks in advance...

does your phone have an android market, or some other market to get apps? if so, get a free tethering app and install. if you have removable memory (micro sd chip) then put the pc copy on there, remove from phone and insert into computer and download from chip to computer. i have PDANet for my android and it works good. it was also a free app. play around with a couple different tethering apps if you dont like the first one you download

I am guessing that you have a symbian Nokia. Joiku.com has a free wifi tether app. If it is a windows mobile phone go to walking hotspot.com ($25). For android you probably have to root your phone for wifi tether but you can tether with a cable using PDAnet ($16 at Junefabrics.com) ot Easytether app (free).
