Do I need Wifi access to watch a downloaded movie or Ebook on my iPad?

I am looking at buying an iPad and plan on using it for long trips which I can watch movies and read eBooks. I plan on only buying the wifi access iPad. If I am out on the road or on an airplane and have no WiFi access would I still be able to use the downloaded apps and movies already downloaded to the iPad?

Answer:
Any movie or book already downloaded to the iPad can be viewed without any wifi connection. The only apps that you cannot use are apps that require an internet connection to run.

Well depends. If your downloading the movies or ebooks you will need wifi access but if your downloading your content at home it stores to the ipad like music and apps hope I helped
