Should I get an iPhone or an iTouch?

  • My iTouch died and I was thinking of just buying an iPhone so I don’t have to buy an iTouch and another type of phone (but iphone is cheaper with Verizon and I get music and calling capabilities) But.. I’ve lost my previous iTouches so many times to clumsiness(water damage) and I’m afraid of losing my iphone (music and phone). So should I keep those seperate? Apple unfortunately doesn’t cover for water damage (not even in their extended warranty) and neither does verizon wireless (as far as I've checked, if they do let me know). And if I get two separate entities (music and phone) they are a hell of a lot more expensive than just the iphone itself. But I'm so clumsy!!! And if I get an iTouch then what phone should I upgrade to at Verizon? I like the phone my step dad has but it’s out of stock (an HTC phone which I also really really like). tl;dr iphone: cheaper for me, holds music and makes calls, but afraid of it breaking like my previous idevices. itouch+phone: more expensive for both, keeps them separate in case of emergency, cheaper to replace itouch than iphone.

    Hello, If you keep damaging your devices then I suggest getting the iPhone with INSURANCE and proper phone case. If you have insurance it will most likely cover accidental drops. If you get iTouch then you don't get insurance and you spend $200+ each time it's nonoperational. Be-careful though! Some insurance only covers a maximum amount of claims per year unless you get a insurance that offers unlimited claims. Good luck!

For me, Iphone 4 is the best cell phone I ever had. The camera has an excellent 5 megapixel resolution. I can take pictures or videos in high definition. You may notice much difference between the old iPhone with this one. this phone has more speed than previous ones. New applications are made for this cell are incredibly fantastic, the games with better graphics. The iphone definitely have nothing to envy to others

I honestly suggest an IPod Touch and basic phone, I've been in ur position and so lets say u lost ur phone for a day, use ur IPod Touch and get these apps: "Skype" and "Textfree With Voice" for skype the other person needs it, but with Textfree with voice u can earn minutes by just adding and using their apps. And don't spend too much on the basic phone, and remember : get a rubber case and screen protector for IPod. Have fun with ur purchases!

There should never be any reason you have to hold your iPhone over water to begin with. Just get the iPhone. So much better to just carry around one thing. Good luck =)

If your going to have an itouch/iphone you need to be more responsible. Also in the long run iphone is not cheaper then the itouch. Most people pay 100 or more a month for the iphone. While the itouch is a on time payment. Also your music and videos and stuff is not gone forever. If you updated to the newest version of itunes. You can go into the itunes store, look the right in the quick links and you'll find one that say purchases so any music that you bought, but is no longer on the computer can be redownloaded at no charge. My advise if your afraid that you cannot take care of the devices then maybe your not ready to have one.
