There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website http://www.Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked. Hope this helps.

There's web sites that can unlock your phone with a code, but I'm guessing you wanna do it free.... well if you have one of the major cell companies and I'm guessing you do.. you can just call them and they can unlock you phone... I've done it with my blackberry storm when I went over seas... I just told them I'm getting deployed and I would need my phone unlocked to use the locals sim cards in case I don't get cell service...

you need a code which you can find in menu>options> status :)

Turn it off then try again.

Hi u can get unlock code for blackberry in cheapest price & money back guarantee from web.The web provide u code + instruction to applying the code on your mobile after this u will be able to use any sim card on your phone thanks

First you need to make sure that your Blackberry is not already unlocked because if it is it won't show you the screen where you should enter your unlock code. Go into "Advanced settings" and then select "SIM card" and type MEPD. You will get a list of all the SIM card security settings of your Blackberry, mostly Blackberry phones are locked with the "Network" or "Service provider" security - you should see the word "Active" next to the security that is used to SIM lock your blackberry phone. If the "Network" is the one that says "Active" then you need a MEP2 unlocking code and if the "Service provider" is the one that is active then you need a MEP4 unlocking code. You will need the unique unlock code for your Blackberry and to get it you can use a website with service for Blackberry unlocking (I used http://www.blackberry-unlocking.org to unlock bith of my Blackberry phones) so you can use a website to unlock your Blackberry online instantly or you can go into a mobile phones shop and unlock it there - they are mostly using cables to unlock it and the price is higher then on unlocking websites but the result is the same: SIM free Blackberry. You can also try contacting the carrier of your Blackberry and ask for the unlock code. After you have the unlock code for your Blackberry just use the right code to enter the unlock code (MEP2 / MEP4). On some devices you should hold the ALT key while typing MEP2 / MEP4. On the 9780 that i have used before i got my bold 9900 while unlocking it i have done it like typing MEP, then holding the ALT key and typing 2 (holding the ALT key will set the number) so just dial MEP(Hold ALT key)2 and it should ask you to enter the unlock code. After entering the unlock code it should say "Code accepted" and then restart your Blackberry and it's unlocked. :)
