the phones share a plan & i know that nextel with send you the text messages right to your phone but i was told through sprint they cant. There must be a way to montator my daughters text messages, i get her phone randomly but she has started to earse her inbox and i dont want to start a big fight.

Answer:
If you don't want to start a big fight you should stop being all up in your daughter's business and start talking to her instead of reading her texts. If she is erasing her inbox she already doesn't trust you. Do you really want your daughter to be uncomfortable sharing things with you? That is what is going to happen if you keep violating her privacy. Why don't you start an open dialog with her instead? Let her know that she can talk to you about anything without judgment? Reading her texts is easier but in the long run it will be bad news. Trust me. Edit: you reading your daughter's texts aren't going to keep her from getting knocked up or doing drugs. It is just going to make her hate you more than she probably already does.

I don't think it would be good for you, if I told you how to. I don't know about the laws where you come from, but in Denmark it is illegal to read other peoples mail, postcards, letters, etc. I am not sure if it is the same with text messages on the phone, but it might as well be. If you are afraid that your daughter is in trouble or doing something she isn't allowed to, you should just talk to her. My dad and I doesn't talk very often, but the times we do are some of my favorite times. I often ask him to drive me to the a train station longer away than necessary, because I want some more time to talk with him in the car. So, my solution will be: talk with her in stead of reading her text messages. Good luck.

Did you try the website? Many cell phone carriers allow you to view text message details (to and from, time of day etc). If the account is in your name just log on and set it up using your social and her phone #. Its worth a try. Good luck!

Call sprint. Her texts are on their server and the account holder is entitled to them. You just have to find out whether you can do it online or will they have to send you hard copy.
