I love my phone but i cant send or receive picture messages?

my phone is an LG xeon and it works great but i cant send or receive picture messages i don't know if i need an unlock code or what it has a camera so it shouldn't be a problem can some one help me out please

Answer:
If the data is turned off on your phone you will not be allowed to send or receive picture messages. If your data is not turned off on your phone you need to take your phone to your carrier to see what is wrong with your phone.
