Motorola DROID question?

What networks do the Motorola Droid X work on?

  • Simple question, does the Motorola Droid X work any networks other than Verizon, or can it be jailbroken/cracked for other networks? I have received a hand me down Droid X, but have T-Mobile. So are there other Generic Networks that it may work on like Vonage or Boost Mobile? Thanks for answers in advance!

  • Answer:

it works on the CDMA 800/1900 network this is the same frequences that Sprint, Virgin Mobile (in the USA), etc use it may work, but some features may not work correctly.

Other answers

Well the droid X is a CDMA cell phone so Verizon, Sprint, Metro PCS(if available) or any other CDMA supporting carriers. T-mobile and At&t is GSM gprs so no luck there.

It uses the same CDMA as Sprint, metroPCS, US Cellular, etc, HOWEVER, it is locked to their network. If you want a similar phone to the X, buy the Motorola Milestone X. It's available on metroPCS or I believe unlocked as well. There is also the Motorola Triumph on Virgin Mobile, which is better than the Droid X.
