Is it possible to view internet history after restoring iphone?

  • I'm about to restore my iPhone 3g to factory settings so I can sell it to a friend, but before I do that is there any way possible that he would be able to view my web history or texts or anything after I restore it? He's kind of a tech genius so I just want to be safe that he can't somehow magically hack my information on my phone after I restore it.

    Restoring an iDevice to factory settings removes all personal data, including web history. Just ensure you don't accidently restore to a backup. Although, technically the data would still be on the phone as data isn't really deleted when you "delete" it - it is only marked for overwriting. But no commercially accessible data recovery tools for the iPhone exist, so don't sweat it. And I seriously doubt he's a "tech genius". We just seem that way to un-tech-savvy people. ><
