How can I get the videos on my I-phone onto my computer?

I got this video recording app on the I-phone and I have been trying to hook my Iphone up to my computer to get the videos I have taken onto the computer but it wont let me open anything except the pictures! its driving me crazy! I had the same problem with my other phone (sony ericcson).. does anyone know how to get the videos from an I-phone or sony ericcson onto a computer???????

Answer:
If you have it jailbroken you'll have to find out what directory it is in using open ssh, if not syncing it should be sufficient.
