Why wont my iphone 3G let me view send or recieve text messages anymore if i have unlimited?

I purchased it in feburary '09 and i have unlimited text but for some reason it wont let me go into the text message widget but it allows me to go into everything else..How can i resolve this and why did this happen...PLZ HELP!!

Answer:
Should be no reason for this. A simple restart should fix this. Hold down both the power button on the top and the home button for 6 seconds. This should restart your phone and you should be able to access this section again.
