How do I unsubscribe to the maxis phonebook backup service?

If I restore my new iPhone 3GS from a backup of an older one, what will happen with the service and number?

  • I just bought a new iPhone 3GS from at&t. I have an older iPhone (the first one) that I had all of my music, apps, pictures, etc. on. But, it was not hooked up with at&t (it was a hand-me-down, that I used as an iPod), so it said no service on the phone and let me enter what ever number I chose. If I restore my new iPhone from the old ones backup on my computer, will the music, apps, pictures, and all of that stuff be moved onto? And will the fact that it has no service and stuff be changed? Like will the number on my new iPhone and service change into the no service on my old one? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

  • Answer:

Yes you will be able to restore from your last phones backup. Backing up or restoring from backup on itunes does not change the baseband or firmware in the phone. It will know it's a different phone by it's udid. You will not lose service or number.
