Will any sim card in the world work on an unlocked phone?

  • will any sim card in the world on an unlocked phone work i want the mottorola defy but i have to get it unlocked because the sim card i have got now is on 02 and i have a 1year contract on it but will the sim card work on the unlocked phone because 02 does not even sell the mottorola defy but will i be able to use it.thanks!!
