How do I make my AT&T Pure compatible with a straight talk sim card?

Hi, I have purchased an Htc Pure from AT&T a while back ago and now I would like to use it with my straight talk sim card. Ive read meany articles about this but none seem to be working like I put the sim card in and start it up but it doesnt tell me to input an unlock code it just simply goes to the normal way it usually is but at the top screen it doesnt have the error picture of a sim card not inserted and when the straight talk sim card is in it my apps like change around and I have an app called SIM app but when I go to it, it says unlock but whenever i click on it the app does nothing but highlightes the word unlock???? So please Help me with a detailed description of what to do??!!
Answer:

You have to get a different SIM card to use your own phone. The SIM cards that came with Straight Talk phones will not work in other non-straight talk phones.
