Why is it more expensive to upgrade your cell phone, than it is to become a new customer?
-
I am looking to purchase a new cell phone. I have been a loyal customer with this cell phone company for nearly six years. I just want to know, why is it more money to upgrade your phone than it is to become a new customer. For instance, to upgrade to the phone I want, it is nearly $130. If I were to become a new customer, I could get the same phone for only $39. This just makes me mad. It seems to me that since I have been a loyal customer for a long time, I should get the discount. Also, it is this way with nearly all the leading cell phone providers- AKA- T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. Please help!
