Which phone should i buy, the HTC Desire, the Samsung Galaxy S, the HTC Desire Z, or HTC Desire HD or wait?

I am looking for a new phone right now. They are almost all in the same price range. I would mainly use it for watching videos, games, internet browsing, apps, pictures and texting and should also have good battery life. Should i buy one of them or should i wait for newer generations, although for these new phones, i would have to wait a year for their prices to lower down since i dont have a lot of money but could afford those phones mentioned now. Please help me!
