What unlocked phone can work for boost mobile?

Which phones can be unlocked to work with Boost?

  • I have the 1$/day chat plan for boost but i want a new phone and not one of the ones boost has. Which services can i buy a phone for that will work on boost mobile simcard? I know that verizon does not use sim cards so you cant but which ones can?

  • Answer:

Boost walkie talkie sims are NOT gsm, they are called iden. They will NOT work in an unlocked gsm phone (like the ones Att and Tmobile use. ) They will work in most Nextel phones. But if you are unimpressed by the Boost phones, I would forget Nextel and look at other plans. I wouldn't really recommend Boost because of the quality issues with calls being dropped, texts not going through and what have you. If you are looking for something similar , try and go to Alltel Prepaid U and get their dollar a day plan which lets you pick options like unlimited text or unlimited nights and weekends. They have a MUCH wider selection of phones. I'm sure Alltel would love your business. Hurry up, before their merger with Verizon snuffs it out. Or, for $30 a month you can get Straight Talk with 1000 minutes/1000 messages/30 megs internet. It is a Tracfone/Verizon joint venture. They only have two cool handsets thought, the Razr V3a and the Motorola W385 (The third one looks too old school). You can get it online at walmart.com to buy. You can read about the details at www.straighttalk.com Either way, good luck.
