Question on Blackberry Curve?

Quick question about the Blackberry Curve 8900 (at&t)?

• Ive been looking into the blackberry curve and i was finally ready to purchase it before i found 1 major problem. The Wi-Fi. I want to buy the phone without the data package, the primary reason being that everywhere i go that im going to be using my blackberry has wi-fi from home to work. but then when i called to confirm they said that the wi-fi on the phone will not work at all, or i will be charged while using wi-fi. is this true? how can i be charged when im using my own wi-fi that i am paying for seperatly?

  well, i have the blackberry curve 8900 also, but my carrier is tmobile. i did not have to purchase the data plan and i did not. i am not being charged extra for anything. make sure to go and ask a at&t sales employee and they will acurately answer your question. and by the way the blackberry curve 8900 from tmobile looks better than at&t. just had to put my 2 cents in.
