How much money is an iPhone4 sim card and can I switch my at&t number to that sim card?

Okay, so..I'm not a genius when it comes to stuff like this so as far as I know, I might be asking a really simple, widely-known question that makes me look a complete idiot, but anyways... My friend wants to sell me his iPhone 4. This takes a different sim card than I have and I just wanted to make sure that it's not too much money to buy a new sim card and that's it's possible for me to switch the current number I have (with at&t) from my current sim card to the other. How much money is it to buy a new sim card and is it complicated to switch my number to another sim card..??

Sim Cards are $25 but sometimes if you go into the AT&T corporate store they will give you it free and yes you can get a new micro sim for the iphone with your # on it.
