When i try to jailbreak my iphone 4s using absinthe from greenpois0n it says not compatible?

i downloaded the absinthe jailbreak program directly from the greenpois0n website and unpacked the zipped files i read the readme.txt file which gave very detailed instructions on how to perform the jailbreak i then proceeded to plug my iphone 4s running the ios 5.0.1 software up to my laptop to perform the jailbreak as i had already backed up the iphone on the laptop i used i double-clicked on the absinthe.exe file as per the readme.txt instructions a popup windo came up welcoming me to the program and below this gracious welcoming note it said something to the effect of "sorry, but the attatched device is not compatible" and that is all that happened even after re-downloading the absinthe package and trying again i did this on my standard user, not my admin user i have had this iphone since december i have never jailbroken an iphone before my curreyer is at&t i would like to have an untethered jailbreak installed rather than a tethered jailbreak any suggestion as to how to fix this problem or of a better jailbreak program that isn't to complex and that is safe, any links, suggestions, or anything else would be greatly appreciated

i jailbroke mine with the same software (greenpois0n and absinthe) no problems. only thing i can think of is are you sure it's 5.0.1? as far as complexity, absinthe is as easy as you can get with jailbreaking. just a couple of clicks and you're done.
