worse case senario... a huge mp3 file is like... 7MB... and you have a 8GB phone (1GB = 1024MB... so 8 x 1024 = 8192 MB) 8192 - 500MB (iphone ROM and system data = 7692MB for you... 7692 / 7 worse case senario = 1,098 MP3 files... given you dont download any apps or videos or pics or anything else, pkus not saving any contacts or text messages that will take up memory normally, MP3 are about 3-5 MB... so lets say 4MB... thats 7692 / 4 = 1,923 MP3s so lets say you wanna download some apps, contacts, texts, and videos.. all that is 3.692 GB in size... and you have 4GB left in free space.. thats 4x1024 = 4096... divide by 4MB mp3 files.. = 1024 MP3s that can be put onto your iphone.... :-)
