Will Verizon get the iPhone?

How come I barely get 5 bars signal in my Verizon Iphone 4s?

  • After doing a lot of research online and reading a lot feedback and comments, I finally decided to go with Verizon Iphone 4S instead of Sprint. AT&T isn't one my preferences because I find their data a bit more expensive. Also, a lot of people are having problems with their reception and coverage. But how come I barely get 5 bars on my Verizon Iphone 4S? It's 3-4 bars most of the time and even drops to 1-2 bars in some places. Is it because of Verizon or the Iphone 4S? However, I do have 1 bar signal in some subway stops where I could still send text messages even if it's underground. NOTE: Android vs Iphone Also, when I asked regarding Verizon and Sprint Iphone 4s, somebody answered that Androids are better than Iphones. I have to disagree. I've been using android phones for 2 years. I had the G1 then switched to Tmobile's G2X. At first, I loved the G2X and never thought of switching to an Iphone . But after few weeks, I started having a lot of dropped calls, my phone freezes and shuts down often. Plus, when I upgraded the phone's software, as told by the customer rep in order to resolve the problems that I was having with my phone, I lost the good features of my G2X's camera and it then switched to a normal android camera. The new software didn't fix any issues that I was having with my phone. Right now, I don't have any plans of going back to an android phone that's why I decided to switch to Verizon. I'm loving my iphone. I'm just wondering why I barely get 5 signals. On the other hand, I haven't encountered much problems yet though I only have 4 signals. I have good call quality, I can text, use my data and I'm not having dropped calls. Also, my iphone doesn't freeze often or shuts down like my previous android phones.

Your honestly not going to notice that much of a difference between 5 bars and 3 bars unless you are doing data intensive things. Even sending an email will only take a second or 2 more if you have 3 bars. If your not dropping a call I don't know what the problem is. You won't always be very close to a cell tower, thats just life. I'd say that when it comes to reception, its mostly a carrier thing. There was the whole iphone "antenna-gate" but that was fixed with the iphone 4s.
