How do i set up my t mobile email on my new phone?

  • I just got the g1 phone by t mobile. On my old sidekick it automatically set up my t mobile mail. Can someone help me set it up on this phone?

    i just bought the white g1 a week ago. when you buy the g1 plan it doesnt come with tmail. you sign up for gmail and if you would like to use a different email you can go into the mail app and set it up. but with your g1 you wont be using tmail. so you may want to tell your friends and contacts of your new email. when you buy the phone you HAVE to set up a google account. did you buy this directly from t-mobile or used?

On a Sidekick you use a tmail.com address, but on a G1 you don't get that (as tmail is only on Sidekicks) so you just use your gmail address that you used to sign in to the G1. Or whatever other email you have. Once you no longer have Sidekick service your tmail address is gone.

Go to t-mobile.com and got to the option on the top of the page that says 'Services' click on it, then look at the box on the left side of the page, it says 'internet and email' click on it, then it gives you all the info you need 2 know.
