Can you take a SIMS card out of a prepaid cell phone and put it in any cell phone that takes a SIMS card?

It's not as simple as that. The phone you want to put the card into has to be on the same network as the sim, or else the phone has to be unlocked to all networks. For example, if you have an Orange sim, then the phone you want to use the sim in must be either on Orange, or unlocked for use on all networks. Enter pin is a pincode, like you would have for your bank account. Some people protect their sim, and/or their phone from unauthorised use by putting a pin on the sim. Unless you know what the pin is, you can't use the sim or phone.If you try to guess the pin code for the phone (not the sim) too many times, then the phone will lock. This is to stop the phone being used after it's been stolen or lost. It's also useful if the phone belongs to you, you've protected it with a pin, and forgotten your pin. If the phone is locked after trying the pin too many times, then you will need to ring the network to get your PUK code. The PUK code is an unlock code supplied by the network. They will only supply the PUK code if you can answer security questions correctly, to prove you own the phone. NEVER try to guess the PUK code. If you try it too often the phone will lock and no one will be able to unlock it, not even the network provider. The phone would be completely useless, although other functions would still work, such as the camera, MP3 player, radio, etc. Hope this helps to clear things up for you.
