Can I use a t-mobile contract phone on a prepaid plan?

Phone plan help!! Keeping two plans at once?

So I'm about ready to switch carriers from verizon to tmobile...but the problem is, my contract ends on the 3rd which is a Monday, and if I switch I need the entire family to switch as well which includes my sister, but shes up in riverside right now and doesn't get back on the 8th...my phone literally broke down on me today but I have an unlocked iPhone 4 that could be used if I switch to tmobile next week...is there any way I can switch over to tmobile while continuing to use my verizon plan until we can get back to my sister on the 8th? Please help! Thank you!

No the unlocked verizon iphone is NOT compatible with t-mobile there are 2 different iphone 4 models, one that is GSM that will work with AT&T & t-mobile, the other is CDMA that works with Verizon.
