How to transfer contacts to smart phone?

My Motorola Razr phone quit..how can I transfer my contacts to a new phone?

  • The screen went out on my Motorola Razr phone and it's no longer under warranty, so I'm going to probably wind up getting a blackberry or an LG Chocolate phone. I have a ton of contacts, ringtones, games, etc. on the Razr phone. Is there a way for Verizon to transfer everything over or am I just s**t out of luck?

  • Answer:

If you subscribed to Verizon's service to have them upload your contacts to their system you can get them back but if you didn't do that you lost them and there is no way that i know of where you can get the ringtones and games off...... If you have AT&T they're phones work off of SIM cards and they will switch the card (which has all your stuff on it) to your new AT&T phone most likely for free

Your phone has a small card in it. When you buy a new phone it will automatically save your phone number, and put all your contacts on the new phones when you install this small chip card. You will have to more than likely redownload your ring tone. If you bring your phone to a cellular store same as your provider, they will more than likely switch your card for free.
