Not if you do it with spirit and ONLY spirit 2. yes you can and it will erase jailbreak 3. go to itunes click on your device and under version click restore 4. yes if you update to ios 4 you can do it straight from your ipod on http://jailbreakme.com 5. jailbreakme.com go on it from your wifi on your iPod... you can restore it through iTunes, and it's free. It messes up the maps though (like it says an hour drive takes 12 hours, but it still gives the right directions), really only minor things. You just have to be smart about what you download on cydia because it might make your iPod slow.

i love my jailbroken ipod i have no problems with it at all the iphone mostly has problems with it you can do it with out a computer but idk for 3.1.3 for 3.1.3 you have to use spirit on a computer go to spiritjb.com and it tells you what to do if you want to do it from your ipod you have to have 4.0 if you want you can upgrade it from itunes then go to jailbreakme.com from you ipod and it does it for you also you have to have wifi if you still need help or have ?'s please feel free to ask im not a pro or anything im just good at doing this i jailbroke 15 ipods all ready so i know what im doing
