Where can i download free music?

  • i want to download some music for my iPod because all i got is 54 songs of Micheal Jackson, Taylor Swift, and Johnny Cash. i want some more variety and i asked my dad where to get free music because he used to do this for my brothers but he cant remember where he got the music. so can you guys help me please? where can i download some free music? legally too?

    Please keep in mind that you can download/share only copyright-free (classical, nursery rhymes) music for free, unless the copyright owners allow free downloading/sharing of their material. ALL sites that provide copyrighted music to be downloaded/shared for free, but WITHOUT permission from the copyright owners are equally ILLEGAL! So, unless you are about to download copyright-free music, please start using legal buy-a-download resources similar to iTunes. Having no money/credit card is NEVER an excuse to STEAL anything anyway, so there is a very good reason why all the ILLEGAL sites/resources are being shut down and their users being sued for illegal downloading. It is also the reason why there is NO direct download button available on YouTube. Besides, asking how to obtain copyrighted material illegally violates Y! Answers guidelines.

legally? really? i mean, will lawyers be involved with your downloading? will a judge preside, and will police officials be there to ensure that everything goes down properly? anyway, the answer is 'the internet'. you can download anything you want from there. i like this one REM song, so i went to the internet, downloaded one small file, and *bam*, an hour later i have every album they ever made and some bootleg concert stuff. the internet is your friend.

I've tried out many mp3 sites, both free and paid. I discovered that with free music downloads ocassionaly I would get a virus which was very annoying. I now use Iomoio - you have to pay 15� a song but its worth it! They have all the latest chart music and over three million mp3s. They even give you 2 free songs to try it out. I've never needed anything else since
