How to get rid of some skips on a LP record aka a vinyl record?
-
I bought a used record today from a record store. I always look at the records before I buy them to see what shape they are in. The record I bought looked in great shape. One problem is when I played it one song had some skips in it but not to the point were the needle got stuck and would not keep playing. Is there any way I could get rid of the skips? If yes please tell me step by step on how I can get rid of the skips. Please only answer this question if you can help me out. Please do not answer this question only for points.

Answer:
If you use a record cleaning brush or other soft lint-free chamois and a dash of isopropyl alcohol, you can get a lot of surface dust off. Give more emphasis with the damp cloth/brush when you locate a place with a skip.
