How do I fix my messed up ipod touch?

  • Well, i've had my iPod touch for around a year now and jailbroke it about 8 months ago and have used it perfectly without any problems. Recently i downloaded an android lock tweak off of Cydia thinking it would be cool. But, unfortunately it "froze" my iPod. By froze i mean it slowed it down to a really slow and laggy pace. When i try to unlock it, it does nothing. Is there anything i can do to "unfreeze" it? Also, i apologize for the lack of information given. Thanks, Ken :]

    i had the same prob just hold onto the power button and home button for about ten seconds and it turns off then just wait a couple of minutes b4 u turn it on and it should work perfectly

Hello. I reccomened to unjailbreak ur iPod touch by restoring it and updating it to the latest firmware (3.1.2). Jailbreaking is now also legal, Apple announce, you can even copy DVD legally for educational purposes only. Plus it breaks the bond and waranty between Apple. Jailbreaking causes slow,crashes and freezing that's why I never reccomend it. If it still freezes it has been permanently damage, jailbreaking again breaks warranty. so u can't return it. Apple won't fix it because again it is illegal. I reccomend f this happen wait for September 4 2010 and buy the iPod Touch 4th Generation, rumors said they will have a camera, Vietnam also has a proto type of an iPod Touch ith a camera with Apple's label.

My best suggestions are that you take that app off. Buy if it completely freezes. Hold down the square button at the bottom of the ipod until it resets. you'll know when it does.

Hello Ken. Well firstly "Jail braking" your iPod is known to increase the risk of having problems with your iPod, such as this one. You should try resetting it manually, by holding down the lock button and the home button simultaneously. If that does not work, then I don't think connecting it to your computer would work either (it could in fact make it worse...) I hope this info helps and that your iPod gets fixed, but I must honestly say that Jail braking your iPod is - the majority of the time - a bad idea. Regards, Sasha.
