Why does my outer ear hurt after wearing headphones?

My headphones make my ears hurt?

I bought a pair of headphones (the kind that go over your head, NOT ear buds) And after a while of wearing them 1 of my ears starts to hurt from the pressure of the headphones on my head. I could never wear headphones like these because of this problem. Is it because ive worn them too long? Is there a certain way i can wear them so they wont bother? The kind of headphones i have are Skullcandy headphones also. I dont really like ear buds, they fall out, or eventually i just wear them down.. or they break Lmao. So does anyone have any ideas?

happens to me all the time. i dont really know why but to solve it il just rest my headset around my neck on my shoulders for a bit. it gets less sore. glad im not the only one ;)
