What does it mean to jailbreak an iPod touch 4g?

    jailbreaking is freeing your ipod/iphone from all limitations set by apple..... for example you can customize ur lockscreen to show you weather or stock markets etc.... you can change the theme of ur iphone to look like an android(but why would you??) or anything else you like......you can even change your bootlogo from the boring apple symbol to a skull etc...... you can even get apps that you would normally have to pay for on the apple store.... i wont tell u how as i discourage piracy(find out for yourself...).....you can just about do anything with a jailbreak..... but be careful what kind of jailbreak you use..... make sure the jailbreak is UNtethered before installing or else it becomes a pain as you will have to plug it into ur laptop every time you restart your itouch...
