How do you stop an ipod from sync?

IPOD NANO - how to stop it Sync!?

  • I would like to know how to stop my IPOD from Sync evertime I try to re-charge it on my home system? I have all the songs I need on it and so have erased the whole program and songs from my computer and now I know that when I plug my nano into the computer to charge it - it will erase my playlists and I dont want that to happen. I have a Window's Vista if that helps - thanks anyone :)

    there's a setting under itunes somewhere that you can select 'do not sync immediately'. ha ha just by an ipod wall charger. you can plug your charging cable into the back of it and chrge it of a regular electricity point! i have two :) heres a picture: http://www.pdasmart.com/gimages/ipod/ipodwallfw.jpg hope it helps!

ok if you dont want to waste your money on a wall charger, then plug it in cancel the sync and go to ipod then click summary then uncheck open itunes when this ipod is connected and manually manage music that should fix the problem hope it helps

Press the picture of your iPod in the little dropdown menu on the left and scroll down and tick the box 'manually manage songs and videos'

Go onto itune and un-tick 'Sync only check songs and videos' and tick 'Manually manage videos and songs'
