How good is the recording vocals for a mac book and is it good enough to record a song?

Is this software worth getting and if I get it what type of mic would work with it? Because it says as good as a million dollar counsel and I have the instrumental to record to and can you record over that with this? Let me know if I should get this software or not to record music on?
