Are you able to have 2 different Itunes libraries?

Can I upload music from 2 itunes libraries to 1 ipod?

  • I did some searching and can't figure this out. I recently got a new computer, and when I plugged in my ipod, it says, "The ipod is synced with another itunes library. Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library? An ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this ipod with the contents of this itunes library" I assume that to mean that it erases my old music, and puts the music from this computers library onto it. If that's so, that's the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile. Erasing all the music I've been collecting? There has to be a way to add music to it. Thanks in advance.

It's true. But if you bought the music using iTunes, log into your iTunes account and all the songs will go automatically to your new computer. Or you can download your old iTunes library to something, and upload it onto a new computer. Use a USB (most effiecient), or a CD (holds much less though), or anything else I guess that can be used for storage.
