ITunes Music Transfer?

How can I properly transfer my music to itunes?

  • When i download a song on mediafire it will go to a "downloads" folder. I made a "my music" folder to put downloaded music in...and this downloads folder is for anything i download...like power points..etc. so its annoying to have that folder so I clear it out. but for example, if i forget to transfer the songs from "downloads" to "my music" and i have already transferred the songs "downloads" to itunes...then itunes will no longer be able to locate the song and it won't play. how can I avoid all of this folder mumbo jumbo so my songs can just go directly to itunes. i really don't feel like having to peck and hunt the songs that i've already put from "downloads" to itunes and then have to transfer that to the "my music" folder.

When you import songs into iTunes, you aren't transferring them to iTunes, just creating a listing like a card in an old library card catalog. No matter where your song is when you import it, iTunes will play it there, even if it's not the music folder. You can probably change the default settings of mediafire so that it downloads directly to the my music folder. Otherwise you just have to remember not to move your songs after they've been imported to iTunes.

Unirtunatley iTunes doesn't allow downloaded music to be automatically put into it because they want you to buy thier music. So all you can do is in iTunes go to file an open the folder you want and transfer that way. Make sure you turn duplicates off and then it will put the songs recently downloaded into it.
