How do I jailbreak my iPod Touch 4.1 MC Model?

IPod touch 2g NON MC model Jailbreak?

  • Ok so I tried to jailbreak my ipod touch and i got the white screen that flashed and all, the loading kernal came up on the screen along with the pinapple that looks like it's running, when my ipod restarted it said I have to connect with itunes. iTunes said I had to restore(I tried re-booting device and it still came up with the connect to itunes logo) So I had to restore my device. when I try to jailbreak now my ipod screen stays black and redsn0w 0.9.4 gets stuck on"waiting for reboot" the second time.. it keeps getting stuck there, I've double checked everything and it keeps doing the same thing... Any advice? what should I do different?

  • Answer:

Try using sn0wbreeze and iReb, they both need to be used and the instructions need to be read and followed to the letter or you will need to restore and start all over again, but it will work and from what you have said it sounds like you did everything right with redsnow, but it also seems like you have what is called a tethered jailbreak and anytime you need to reboot or the battery dies or you need to turn off the ipod and then turn it back on, it will need to be connected to your computer and re jailbroken everytime.....pain in the but eh, that is why I say try sn0wbreeze and iReb http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/welcome.snow download sn0wbreeze and follow instructions, after it is all done you have to open and use iReb so itunes will not give you any errors. Good luck.
