How many songs can go on an ipod (4th generation) with 64 GB?

Should i get an 4th Generation Ipod touch 32 gb or 8 gb? Please read description :)?

  • Hello, I plan on getting and Ipod touch soon and i was wondering if and 8 gb Ipod would be plenty for about: 500 Songs 300 Apps (Most of them just 99 cents so they are small) Maybe three or four $10 ones I wouldn't really need any videos because I would just use the Netflix app for that so maybe just one or two videos from the itunes store bout half an hour long Like 5-10 books 50 Pictures I would record some videos but i would put them on my computer so like only 4-5 videos i recorded on there at a time Thanks so much i appreciate it!

  • Answer:

Youll definatly need a 32 GB for all that stuff. Plus youll be getting new stuff. I barely have 20 apps and 200 songs on my 8 gig iphone and its 3/4 full already.

Buy the most expensive one you can afford. If you need to sell it later on when the new ones come out, you'll have a more valuable unit to sell. Plus you'll have all the space you need with a 32 or 64.

I'd say the 32GB, because the 8GB is actually 6.8GB because over 1.2GB was taken away for firmware and the preset apps. MP4 and M4V files are encoded with high quality, so it could take up a lot of space for an 8GB, I'd go with the 32GB you could have plentiful apps and movies, and music.
