How to read .pdf on my iPod touch?

ITunes won't read my iPod touch! Please help!?

  • I've got a 2nd gen 16GB with OS 3.0 on it. I've got the latest iTunes running on XP with service pack 3. I've tried every possible thing on apple's site there is, restarting the computer and ipod, reinstalling itunes, confirming there are no third party software issues, i can't even remember how many step-by-step guides i've gone through! I've been on my computer for the better part of 5 hours and im getting really frustrated. I finally thought i was onto something when i read about a guy putting his iPod in recovery mode and plugging it in. iTunes read it as "iPod", asked me if i'd like to recover, downloaded iOS 4 (which is the whole reason i really want iTunes to read this!), and afterward attempted to restore and came up with error message 1601. no dice. i tried it again, but then my iPod got stuck in recovery mode and iTunes still wouldnt read it. Someone please help me before i lose my mind!

  • Answer:

i don't know about the ipod touch but with my nano its set to apple format so it wont work with my laptop unless i restore it. so you might have to do the same thing to get it compatible with xp.

just exit recovery mode. i dont now exactly how long you have to push the buttons, but i ran into the same problem when i jailbroke my touch. hold the home and power buttons for a while and if that doesnt work, try apple troubleshooting
