How do I get videos on my iPod Nano?

How the heck are you supposed to get videos on your ipod Nano?

  • I just bought a new ipod nano, and I cant seem to figure out how to put videos on it. Does anyone know? I bought the 16 gb one specifically so I could put movies on it. I have taken others advice and they have told me to download program. I have downloaded program after program trying to figure out what the heck to do, and Im not doing any more of that. I just want to seriously know how to add movies to my ipod so I can watch them, that is all.

    Download Itunes. This program is officially sponsored and created by apple, and is meant to be used with all iPod products. After downloading, set up you iPod. Once complete, purchase your choice of movie(s) and wait for them to download. Then on the left side bar, click your iPod ( you will have specified a name during set up). Then click on the videos tab, select sync videos, and choose to either download all you have downloaded or only a few. Then click apply or sync in the bottom right hand corner. Wait for the sync to complete, safely remove your iPod an you're set to go. If your wondering how to TAKE videos, it is under the main menu, which can be reached on any screen by holding the menu bottom. Movies you take will automatically be added to your iTunes video library next time you sync with your computer. Hope this helps!

In iTunes, under your iPod, go to Videos. Then make sure your video uses MPEG codecs and is a Quicktime format, or else it won't work. Download a free trial of a conversion software to get to MPG or MOV or MP4. Then just drag the file into your iTunes' video section. Good luck.
