How do you sync the droid incredible to iTunes?

How to get iTunes store bought music onto Droid (Please help)?

  • I used to use an iTouch, but I hated it and decided to just put all my music on my Droid (Thunderbolt). I downloaded an piece of software called doubletwist, which is supposed to work great. The only issue is, any song I purchased from the iTunes store won't play, or sync. I know iTunes protects some of its music, but surly there's a way around this? Thank you so much!

  • Answer:

If you go into iTunes> Preferences>General. Click on import settings then import using and select MP3 encoder. Then highlight the song you want to convert right click on it and choose create MP3 version and iTunes will make a MP3 copy. Then you can drag your songs into a folder then put then on your phone.

Sorry, no way around it. iTunes music will only work on iTunes and iDevices, period.... I've heard about double twist, but it can only sync compatible music, and iTunes protected AAC isn't compatible. And never will be.

This question might have been more reasonably capable of being answered if you had specified how you tried to put music on your droid phone, what did happen when you tried (saying that it won't sync isn't enough) and where the music files are. I don't buy music on iTunes (been going to the HIP store of late) so I haven't had this issue. But if you purchased the music on your computer the songs (which are just files) should be there. It should be as simple as installing a MicroSD card on the phone, connecting the phone to the PC as a mass storage device, and dragging the music files from their current HD folder to the folder for the SD card when it pops up on your screen. If you downloaded directly to the Ipod (never a hgood idea) then you should have first figured out how to copy music from it. You can still do that by going back to past answered questions here on YA which asked about how to copy music from an iPod. 1,500+ people asked this question rather than read past answers. If you're on a computer that doesn't have your iTunes purchased music you can download the purchases to it by authorizing the computer and selecting transfer purchases.
