I have a Ipod shuffle 1st gen. i plugged it in to my computer the light wont turn on and it wont work i dont know whats wrong with it

I had that sam problem and i called aplle and sent it in and they fixed it. but i had a worinty so your best chance might to be to by a new ipod.
