How to add more songs in your ipod touch playlist?

• I just bought a ipod touch and i have a qustion with adding songs in my playlist. I've created a playlist and added some more songs into my playlist. But every time i sync my itouch back to my computer(itunes), the playlist automatically erases the songs that i added more and resets itself to the original songs that i put in the beginning. so what do i have to do to keep the songs in my playlist?
