How the freak can i get my songs back on my ipod???

my ipod had a bunch of chinese writing all over the screen and it said it needed to be restored so i hooked it up to my computer and clicked restore and it ERASED ALL OF MY SONGS!!!!!!!! they are no where to be found!!! can someone tell me how i can get them back or where they might be?? and why this happened??

i have no clue why this happened but to get your songs back on it, you can go to limewire and get the songs you want on your ipod, to select more then one hold down ctrl while picking the songs, then you drag them into itunes. you can either drag them into the folder with your ipod in it or you can put them in the music folder and select them and put drag them to your ipod. hopw i helped :)
