Facebook application won't download on iPod Touch?

I have an iPod Touch and I'm trying to download the Facebook app. Whenever I try to do so, a box pops up that says "Not Compatible: This application is not compatible with this iPod." I know this is untrue because one of my friends who has the same exact iPod has the application. This also happens when I try to download the MySpace app. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks.
