How do you replace the battery in an iPod classic?

Will Apple replace my Ipod/battery?

  • I've had my Ipod Touch 2nd Gen for about 3 and a half years now. Up until now it's been working perfectly. Battery duration has never been a problem. For the past week, I've been putting my ipod on charge over night (as usual). And then I unplug it and leave it on standby for the rest of the day and by night, it's on like less than 20%. I don't even use it that much so i don't know why the battery is draining so fast. I must have used it for a total of 10/15mins literally today just for the facebook app. And then I left it on standby. Why is it my battery draining soo fast? I haven't even touched it. It never used to do this. I know leaving it on standby uses some of the battery but not the whole friggin thing. I also know having wifi on can use up some battery but again i've always had wifi connected (most of the time) and it's never caused a problem. I know Apple are quite generous with replacing Apple products. So if I sent my ipod to them, would they replace the ipod or battery for me?

Sorry, but ipods only come with a one year warranty. You would have to pay to get it fixed.
