Does Cydia slow down my iPod touch?

Cydia problem with Ipod Touch?

  • This probably isnt the typical question people get on here about cydia problems. I was uninstalling cydia from my ipod touch 16GB first generation by uninstalling parts of it while in cydia. For some reason i spaced out and decided to do it this way instead of through the restore through itunes. So i force removed some packages and now my ipod wont turn on. Any suggestions as to what i can do. I have tried turning it back on obviously and restarting it, plugging it in to charge, as well as plugging it into the computer with itunes open. Need some help

  • Answer:

Even if you managed to remove all the packages, the only way to remove the jailbreak completely is to restore in iTunes. Download the firmware for your device from: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ Youtube "DFU Mode" Open iTunes, plug your iPod in and put it in DFU mode. While in DFU mode, hold shift and click "restore" in iTunes. Browse to the firmware that you want to restore to. Ta-DA now it's good as new. Next step is to re-jailbreak.
