Phone screen cracked mirror screen protector help!!?

My HTC hd7 has a huge cracked on the touch screen. ( is the touch screen the led or the lcd??) It seems very expensive to change the touch screen. I thought about it...should i buy a mirror screen protector, would i still show the cracked??? what this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qdcH4zgOzE in the video the screen only shows the light under the screen(if you know what i am saying),,,but would it shows the crack if it was on my hd7??? Please get me back thank you....
