Why does my iPod sync but say there are no songs?

I plug my ipod in and my itunes is already open but my ipod wont sync or say reece's ipod so i cant add songs?

  • what do i do

  • Answer:

You need to do a hard re start. If it is a regular ipod, just hold down the center button and the menu button at the same time until you see the apple logo, than just wait for it to restart and try to sync it again. If it is the ipod touch hold down the home and power button at the same time for a minimum of 20 seconds. This will completely power down your ipod. Wait a few seconds than hold down the power button until it begins to re boot. Wait for it to fully turn back on and than plug it into itunes. This should fix it. It did with mine.
